1.4501 - Duplex stainless steel with outstanding corrosion resistance and strength

1.4501 is a high-alloy duplex stainless steel that impresses with its excellent corrosion resistance and high strength. This alloy combines the advantages of austenitic and ferritic stainless steel structures, resulting in better resistance to pitting and crevice corrosion as well as high resistance to mechanical stress. 1.4501 is particularly suitable for use in aggressive environments such as the chemical industry, offshore technology and when processing chloride-containing media.

Properties:

Excellent corrosion resistance: 1.4501 offers excellent protection against pitting corrosion and chloride stress.

High strength: The duplex structure ensures high strength with good ductility.

Heat resistance: The alloy retains its strength and resistance even at higher temperatures.

Weldability: 1.4501 is easy to weld, but special processes are required to obtain the best properties.
