1.4541 - Austenitic stainless steel with high resistance to intergranular corrosion

1.4541 is an austenitic stainless steel that is characterized by good corrosion resistance and excellent resistance to intergranular corrosion after welding. This alloy contains titanium, which ensures that the material is stabilized and thus prevents the formation of carbides at the grain boundaries. 1.4541 is often used in environments with high temperatures and corrosive media, especially in the chemical and petrochemical industries.

Properties:

High corrosion resistance: 1.4541 offers excellent protection against many chemical influences, especially against corrosive gases and liquids.
Resistance to intergranular corrosion: The addition of titanium minimizes the risk of intergranular corrosion.
Good weldability: The alloy is easy to weld and is ideal for applications where welds play a role.
Applications:
1.4541 is widely used in the chemical industry, petrochemicals, boiler construction, heat exchangers and pipes where high temperatures and good resistance to corrosion are required.
